HEARTS: Health Enriched by the Arts , es una organización sin fines de lucro que se dedica a crear una cultura de salud y bienestar, donde la expresión artística, creativa nutre busca curar a las personas y las comunidades diversas, ayudándolas a prosperar.
Apoyan a quienes piden acción para cambiar las estructuras y políticas que han permitido que ocurran las desigualdades, racismo sistémico y la violencia. Buscan emplear las artes como un medio para lograr la justicia y la igualdad de oportunidades para todas las personas.
Esta vez nos comparten un proyecto musical que ha salido la luz y me hace muy feliz compartir; una historia en base a nuestra mayor representante de la enfermería moderna Florence Nightingale.
El proyecto musical se llama «NIGHTINGALE: REGARDING THE LIFE & PASSION OF MISS FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE», el objetivo principal de este musical es motivar a los enfermeros elevando y potenciando la voz de la enfermería.
En 2020, nuestra gira de producción del musical escénico se detuvo por la pandemia, en un momento en que las enfermeras y otros trabajadores de la salud estaban siendo catapultados a la vanguardia de la conciencia pública. Esta no era la forma en que habíamos planeado celebrar el cumpleaños número 200 de Nightingale, pero, como Nightingale, ¡persistimos!.
Comparto con ustedes algunas palabras de nuestros amigos: «La profesión de enfermería de hoy está a la vanguardia en la observación de los determinantes socioeconómicos y ambientales de la salud; sin embargo, la contribución de las enfermeras a menudo se minimiza o se descarta, y las propias enfermeras sufren de agotamiento a un ritmo alarmante. Es por eso que en HEARTS sentimos que es tan importante apoyar y celebrar a las enfermeras y ayudar a elevar el nivel de toda la profesión. ¡Y sabemos que The Arts es una forma poderosa de hacerlo!»

This time they share with us a musical project and it makes me very happy to share it, it is a musical inspired by Florence Nightingale.
The musical project is called «NIGHTINGALE: REGARDING THE LIFE & PASSION OF MISS FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE» by Pamela Gerke; the main objective of this musical is to motivate nurses by raising and enhancing the nursing voice.
«In 2020, our production tour of the stage musical was halted by the pandemic, at a time when nurses and other healthcare workers were being catapulted to the forefront of public consciousness. This was not the way we had planned. celebrate Nightingale’s 200th birthday, but, like Nightingale, we persist! » (Pamela Gerke).
I share with you a few words from our friends: «Today’s nursing profession is at the forefront in looking at the socioeconomic and environmental determinants of health; however, the contribution of nurses is often downplayed or discounted, and nurses themselves suffer from burnout at an alarming rate. That is why we at HEARTS feel that it is so important to support and celebrate nurses and help raise the bar for the entire profession. And we know that art is a powerful form to do it!»
